Our signature HORNCHURCH clutch is named after the street I grew up on in Markham, Ontario, Canada. The reason for this throwback nostalgia are my dear memories, from childhood to my late teens, where I unabashedly explored creativity in full. On one occasion, I stayed up all night to paint a cardboard box red. It quickly transformed into a functioning firetruck after my pops made a motor for it out of balsa wood and rubber bands. On many occasions, my crazy-artistic best friend would come over and make art with me until her dad would come knocking at our door. It was a sweet childhood in a culturally-rich town. Having unorthodox Filipino parents (and a curious sister) to nurture my endeavours helped too.
The HORNCHURCH is not only about reminiscing - it is also about representing. I rep my hood, I rep my background, I rep my past - these facets of my life inspire everything I create and do.
